You needed a fair sized machine shop to house the full set of Gingery equipment. Once it's built, it's a machine shop.  No need to build 10 different tools.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;As far as it's relation to RepRap goes...&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;1: A machine this simple, with this many capabilities (including a lathe), given a skilled operator, is nearly self-replicating.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;2: Eventually, if we can't replace them, it would be nice to have experience machining metal parts.
