Darwin y axis proof of concept


Here is a copy of the Darwin Y axis made in MDF from the proof of concept pdf. I created it on my band saw in 30 min. but I did not drill any holes first so that needs to be done before cutting it out. I think this will work for repstraping Darwin. I would love to try more parts.

Cool! I remember that ARNIE's connectors couldn't be bootstrapped very easily according to eD. When I looked at the pics of Darwin I'd wondered if Adrian had simplified the connector design. It appears that you've just demonstrated that one can hope to bootstrap them. That will really accelerate the diffusion of Darwin as a open source hardware device. :-)
